Becoming a parent is difficult, and becomes even more so when we discover the health impacts of what we feed and surround our children with. Wading through the research and diet protocols is overwhelming at best. Through the muck of triumph and, more commonly, fails, the simple truth became clearer, that modern diets are all wrong. It’s back to the basics with this blog, basics we have almost forgotten.
The mission of Organic Parent Hub is to provide parents with information and resources for accepting an organic lifestyle centered on cultured and fermented foods to combat the illness and developmental problems of our children. The site serves as a support base for the lifestyle transition that is contrary to our cultural norm and provides inspiration for leading a more natural and rewarding life for the whole family.
I will cover other diet programs but focus on the Gut and Psychology Syndrome Diet Protocol, or GAPS, that we are currently on in order to heal my son’s autism. I am also supportive of the nutritional benefits of organic, unprocessed, soaked and fermented foods that have been studied by Dr. Weston Price and published in a wonderful recipe book “Nourishing Traditions” by Sally Fallon Morell, though we are unable to consume most of the food at the moment.
This site will also attempt to help parents bypass the time and effort it takes to research the voluminous subjects attached to our children’s and our personal health. Vaccines, fluoride, organic products on the market, recipes your kids will actually eat and so much more will all be covered.
